Historian

The Historian is the official Bazaar photographer.  The Historian takes photos throughout the Bazaar and the meetings and events leading up to it and uses these photographs to develop a slideshow (for appreciation luncheon and following year recruitment purposes) and a 2021 Bazaar Photobook (e.g. Shutterfly).  The Historian will also work with the Vendor Coordinator to produce a photographic record of vendor  participation.  The Historian maintains the photo release forms for committee members and verifies with the Vendor Coordinator on the Vendor Photo Release forms.

Applicants must possess organizational skills and will ideally have previous experience and/or photography training.  Preference will be given to applicants with journalism and photography background, D-SLR equipment, and photo processing software. The Historian must attend and photograph all meetings and prepare a shot list for the Bazaar.  The Historian may recruit other photographers to help and/or to produce the DVD and photo books but is responsible for tracking their output.  The Historian will work closely with Bazaar leadership regarding the photo book.

The Historian will work closely with other members of the communications team in order to provide advertising photographs for print and social media requirements and may serve as additional support for publicity and marketing activities as required.

The Historian reports directly to the Communications Director before, during, and after Bazaar operations.
