Hospitality Chair

The Hospitality Chair provides meals, snacks, and drinks for the 10-11 days of the Bazaar for the Bazaar Committee and Vendors, as well as various volunteers, during Bazaar setup and teardown. The Hospitality Chair is counted on to maintain the spirits of the Bazaar Team by creating a warm and inviting area to recharge. Additionally, the Hospitality Chair is a critical “face” to the vendors during the Bazaar and should work to give the Vendors the best opportunity to refuel and get back to selling! The Hospitality Chair reports directly to the Food and Hospitality Director before, during, and after Bazaar operations.

The Hospitality Chair and Assistants are responsible for the following during the Bazaar: setup of Flytrap (committee lounge) and Vendor cafes, daily commissary shopping, coordination of pick-up and delivery of Bazaar items, budget monitoring, menu planning, Hospitality team scheduling, and monitoring of Vendor cafes and kitchen.  The Hospitality Chair must be onsite from at least 1 hour before opening daily to closing. The Hospitality Chair is responsible for organizing returning the Flytrap to its original condition, post-Bazaar.

The Hospitality Chair must be highly organized, patient, and able to delegate effectively, yet must be able to work under pressure and resolve conflict.  It is critical that the Hospitality Chair possess a positive attitude and maintain a positive work environment.  The Hospitality Chair will be expected to recruit, train, and schedule Team Members during Bazaar operations.

If you are interested in volunteering as Hospitality Chair, please submit a Committee Interest Form.
