Operations Director
The Operations Director is a member of the Bazaar Leadership Team (BLT). The Ops Director works with the Bazaar Chair and other BLT members to develop a strategic vision and implement efficient cross-organizational procedures to produce a world-class, community-focused event. The Ops Director is responsible for reviewing the contract and Ramstein Air Base Instruction to ensure compliance with all requirements and deadlines and will ensure that all members of the Vendor & Operations team work together. The Ops Director coordinates all pre-bazaar activities directly related to vendors (selection, contracts, hangar/tent grid, and base access). During the Bazaar, the Ops Director analyzes daily sales data to identify trends (i.e. low performing sales, noticeable variances in sales by hangar, etc.) and make real-time recommendations for improvement.
The Ops Director will provide direct oversight of the Vendor Coordinator(s) and Base Access Coordinator(s) and will work with the Grid Coordinator and is responsible for ensuring all activities are completed in timely and professional manner. The Ops Director will also supervise the Hangar Operations Team to ensure open communication to the vendors. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership and organization skills, must be self-starter, and must also be capable of managing a budget.
The Ops Director reports directly to the Bazaar Chair before, during, and after Bazaar operations.
